No one can breathe life into a story the way you do because there’s no one on this planet who is YOU.

My goal as your coach is to guide you in giving yourself permission to express yourself FULLY!

As a working actor, I walk in your shoes every single day.

I know what it feels like to muster up the courage to step into your vulnerability, how hard it can be to share all parts of yourself and do so from a place of honesty & truthfulness.

Because here's the thing: expression & creativity are messy! They require bravery, a sense of play, and a supportive space.

As your coach, I’ll hold a mirror up for you to access all your beautiful complexities and unleash them into your material.

I want to help you use your truth to enhance your craft!

Because - here’s the deal: the skills you need to reach your goals and perform material are already inside you!

I’m just here to help you unlock and refine them so you can step into your power & deliver with confidence, truthfulness, and honesty.

Together we can bring all of your brilliance to the surface and unleash the storyteller you are!

I’ve been a professional actor for over a decade with experience all across the industry which has me tapped into the current state of affairs and lets me tailor my skills as an acting coach to your individual needs.

I've been coaching & teaching for equally as long. I started teaching workshops and one-on-one clients post-undergrad, continued to do so while I was in grad school for my MFA, and have taught in person all around the country & virtually ever since.

Clients come to me specifically for finding new material with Monologue Sourcing, for guidance and coaching through the BFA and MFA audition process, as well as audition prep for sides, monologues, songs, and Shakespeare.

Get to know me

  • I graduated Cum Laude with a Double Major in Theater for Acting & Directing and a Double Minor in Creative Writing & Philosophy from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. I studied mask work, physical theater, and Comedia Del’Arte at the Accademia Dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy, and acquired my Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, CA, one of the top MFA programs in the country.

  • I do not subscribe to gate-keeping practices and believe that shared knowledge is power. As such, I founded the Empowered Artist Collective, a community for women and non-binary artists seeking a sustainable & thriving career in the arts, with the goal of offering artists as many tools and resources as possible. I also host the Empowered Artist Collective Podcast which discusses the practical, emotional, and technical elements of the entertainment industry with weekly guests in hopes of dispelling myths and sharing information for artists on their artistic journeys.

What I Offer

What I Offer ·

1:1 Options

  • Monologue Sourcing

I know how difficult it can be to find monologues that speak to who you are & what you can do. So in this process, I find them for you! We start with a virtual in-depth conversation for me to learn about all aspects of who you are and then I source 10+ pieces that fit YOU like a glove.

  • Coaching

Whether you have an audition coming up, a monologue or a song to get under your belt, you’re looking for help navigating the BFA/MFA circuit, or you just need someone to bounce creative ideas off of, we’ll work on any and all of it together. What we focus on during our one-on-one session is up to you!

Group Workshops

Here are some popular offerings:

  • Acting the Song/Monologue

Students will deepen their circumstances, personalize the material, and be fully immersed in their chosen song or monologue. All students can perform or just a few while others audit the coaching, adjustments, and changes.

  • Breaking Down The Text

Students will learn tips and tricks on personalizing material -- be it a song, monologue, Shakespeare, or scene – learn how to make it their own, memorize text, and perform with honesty, truthfulness, & vulnerability.

  • Scene Study

Students learn exercises to help them build listening skills and their ability to analyze a scene before working through it. They will then break into groups or pairings and perform with this new skill set.

  • Body Scan

Remaining in the present moment and acknowledging how the body is feeling is essential to a person’s well-being. It’s important for artists to become in tune with this for themselves, so this workshop focuses on our breath and finding power in awareness.

Group workshops and masterclasses are completely customized to suit your attendees’ or program’s needs. These can be done virtually or in person.

Jennifer sees you not only for what you perform, but also for who you are.
